If your DC ceiling fan is not responding to the remote control, or a remote is operating more than one fan, you may need to fully reset and re-pair the fan.
This process is typically required when:
Pairing has previously been attempted but was unsuccessful
A fan does not respond after installation or a power interruption
A remote controls multiple fans
Pairing steps can vary slightly between models, so we recommend referring to the instruction manual for your specific fan first.
The guide below outlines the general full reset and pairing process used for most Lucci Air, Bayside and Fanaway DC Fans.
Before You Start
Each fan must have its own isolation (wall) switch.
Turn OFF the isolation switch to all ceiling fans.
After successfully pairing a fan, turn it OFF again before moving to the next fan.
If the remote LED does not light up during this process, replace the battery before continuing.
Step 1: De-Program (Factory Reset) the Fan
This reset process must be completed for each fan individually.
Ensure the isolation switch to the fan is OFF.
With power off to the fan, press and hold the
button on the remote for 45 seconds.
The LED on the remote should light up. If it does not, replace the battery and try again.
Release the button.Turn the isolation switch ON to that fan.
Press and hold thebutton again for 45 seconds (no less).
Release the button, then turn the isolation switch OFF.Repeat Steps 2 and 3 one more time.
After completing these steps, the fan is returned to factory settings.
Step 2: Re-Pair the Fan
Turn the isolation switch ON.
Press and hold the
button on the remote.
As soon as the fan slightly moves, beeps or the light (if fitted) flashes, release the button immediately.
Test the fan's operation by turning it on and off from the remote.
Turn the isolation switch OFF again.
The fan is now paired correctly and isolated from the others.
Step 3: Repeat for Remaining Fans
Move to the next fan and repeat the full reset and pairing process.
Ensure all other fans remain OFF while programming each one.
Each fan must go through the complete sequence to operate independently.
