Turn the fan off at the wall switch.
Gently pull out two blades at once in the same direction they normally open.
The mechanism can feel tight, so apply gentle, even pressure.
Avoid pulling on just one blade, as this can cause damage.
Have your helper wipe the blades using a cloth dampened with warm water only. Do not use cleaning products as this can damage the integrity of the blades.
Release the blades slowly once they’re clean and dry, they will retract back into place.
